Festival sponsor First Atlantic Credit Union hosting annual instrument drive

As part of the Asbury Park Music + Film Festival’s mission to provide music education to the youth in and around Asbury Park, festival presenting sponsor First Atlantic Federal Credit Union is conducting an ongoing instrument drive.

“As a Credit Union dedicated to serving our local community of Monmouth and Ocean county, we felt creating a partnership with the Asbury Park Music + Film Festival was ideal,” said Jean-Albert Maisonneuve, Chief Marketing Officer, First Atlantic Federal Credit Union. “In that we are like minded in uplifting the community in unique and progressive ways - particularly through the arts - we are thrilled to be able to provide our branch locations as depositories for the instrument drive again this year.”

Now through April 21, 2020, the public can donate instruments at First Atlantic Federal Credit Union locations in Eatontown (468 Industrial Way West), Neptune (2070 Rt. 66), Oceanport (495 Oceanport Avenue) and Toms River (1580 Lakewood Rd / Rt. 9).

Anyone who drops off an instrument to First Atlantic receives a free gift, and is entered into a drawing to win VIP tickets to next year’s Asbury Park Music + Film Festival, happening throughout the city April 23-26, 2020.

In addition, instruments may also be dropped off with the Asbury Park Music Foundation at 621 Lake Avenue in Asbury Park. The Asbury Park Music Foundation is a chief beneficiary of the not-for-profit Asbury Park Music + Film Festival.  

“Last year was amazing, as we collected over 40 instruments, from drum kits to guitars,” First Atlantic’s Maisonneuve added. “We’re hoping – and look forward to – topping that number this year.”
