ASBURY PARK MUSIC + FILM FESTIVAL SET TO RETURN APRIL 23-26, 2020

Sixth Annual Weekend of Stage and Screen Continues Mission of Benefiting Music & Arts Education For Underserved Children of Asbury Park and Surrounding Areas

Asbury Park, NJ (Sept. 23, 2019) – The not-for-profit Asbury Park Music + Film Festival (APMFF), taking place from April 23-26, 2020 in Asbury Park, NJ, will return for the sixth consecutive year. Exclusive announcements on musical performances, film screenings and panel discussions will be made in the coming months on the Festival’s official website at apmff.org and by following APMFF on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. APMFF will benefit underserved children in Asbury Park and its surrounding areas by providing music education, instruments and social connection opportunities.

The Festival has already welcomed many music and film heavyweights which include Bruce SpringsteenDanny DeVitoWyclef Jean, The Farrelly Brothers, David Crosby, Cameron Crowe, Don Cheadle, John Densmore, Stevie Van ZandtJakob Dylan (The Wallflowers), Tracy Edwards (Maiden documentary), Robert Trujillo (Metallica)Warren HaynesMichael Franti and Cat Power.

The Paramount Theatre, equipped with a new state-of-the-art Christie DCP projection system, and APMFF successfully came together to add the Paramount as a digital touchpoint for international film studio, Trafalgar Releasing, who distributes content to 5,763 film screens, across 93 different countries.  

APMFF also offers year-around programming, working together with Paramount Theatre and the Count Basie Center for the Arts to promote select Trafalgar released screenings. The fall season screenings kick-off on October 4 at Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ with the Roger Waters' concert film, "Us and Them" (click for tickets), featuring a collection of recent live performances in Europe, followed by screening of "Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M2" (click for tickets) on October 11. The Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, NJ will host "ZZ Top: That Lil' Old Band From Texas" (click for tickets) on October 16, as part of the film series. Partial proceeds from every ticket sold will benefit the APMFF mission.

Jeremy Grunin, President of the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation based in Toms River, NJ, has been named to the Festival's Board of Advisors which is already comprised of some of the most powerful figures in the film and music industries including Co-Chairs Tom Bernard (Sony Pictures Classics), Danny Clinch (Director & Photographer), Tom Donovan (Media Executive) and Adam Block (Amazon Music). In addition, Tom Jones (Halo Group), Josh Braun (Submarine Entertainment), Jim Dowd (NJ Devils Stanley Cup Champion), Eric Eisner (Double E Pictures), Denis Gallagher (Charliewood Pictures), Justin Kreutzmann (Filmmaker), Annie McDonough (NetFlix), Jeff Rosen (Manager, Bob Dylan), Rich Russo ("Anything, Anything" Radio), Bob Santelli (Grammy Museum), Shelli Sonstein (Q104.3/iHeart Media) and Michael Uslan (Film/TV Producer) all serve as  members of the Board.
